To make the most or your jet ski riding experiences and to avoid costly repairs check out some of our tips below:
Top Things to Remember:
- Flush ski after salt water use (See out flushing out tips below)
- Hose ski completely down
- Spray engine and moving parts with lubricant
- Place your battery on a charger if you do not intend to use
the ski for a while
Bungs in the Rear of the Ski
Remember to do these bungs up, I have forgotten myself
a couple of times. So when the boat feels heavy whilst riding
this could be a possible cause with water slopping around in
the engine bay.
Keep an Eye Out for Sand Banks
We are receiving lots of skis that have sucked up sand and shells
thru the cooling lines which are then becoming blocked. this
leads to massive overheating. The easy solution - don't start
your ski on the beach and fit sand trap to cooling pickup lines.
Reving Motors Out of the Water and Flushing Motor
This is alright when clearing water but without a
hose connected and running the motor will overheat quickly. Flushing kits (above) help with this process.
THIS
IS A MUST: The ski has to be turned on first then the hose at 1/2
to 3/4 power to run the motor for 4-7 min's then turn hose off and rev
ski up and down 4-6 time's then shut ski down. Please phone
us if you have any doubts over the procedure.
